Imbalances in allelic transcript levels, or differential allelic expression (DAE), can be caused in normal tissues by common genetic variation at regulatory sites, or by alteration of genetic and epigenetic events in tumours. We have created a whole-genome map of DAE, and are now in the process of comparison with other datasets and other methodologies for identifying cis-regulation. This work will involved gathering data from databases for several tissues, eQTL analysis and comparison of large amounts of data between studies (metanalysis).
Experiência: computational biology, including programming capabilities in R, PERL, BASH and other languages. Preference will also be given to candidates proficient in Linux operating systems.
