Contrato de Trabalho - Research on Biodiversity (Auxiliary Researcher)

The successful candidate will be involved in the construction of the database to register sources and providers of biodiversity data, in the development of new computational solutions needed by the project, as well as on tools for data mobilization, particularly those related with diversity at the genetic/genomic level. He/she will also have a strong involvement in the development of analytical tools aimed at de novo based assembly of genomes and their integration in pipelines for large scale geographical analysis, including the development of both back-end and front-end solutions for such tasks.

Habilitações: PhD

Experiência: a minimum of three years postdoctoral experience, preferably with also some industrial (non-academic) experience, and a significant publication record in SCI journals. Demonstrated record of developing and/or applying computational approaches to study biological questions in areas including comparative genomics and transcriptomics, evolutionary genomics, phylogenomics, genetics/population genetics, and systems biology, and a demonstrated interest in collaborative research, are especially encouraged to apply. Ability to develop software in C++ or Java is valued.
