Contrato de Trabalho - Lab Manager

The successful candidate will report to Dr. Zachary Mainen and will play a key role in managing the Systems Neuroscience lab. Responsibilities will include: 

~ planning and managing the lab budget; 

~ managing lab personnel and recruitment; 

~ writing and preparing grant reports; 

~ managing and designing project budgets; 

~ assisting with writing, preparing and submitting grant proposals and associated protocols; 

~ assisting with the submission of manuscripts and abstracts; 

~maintaining the lab web site and public communication; 

~ managing the lab inventory, protocols and equipment; 

~ organizing meetings, assisting with lab members travel and hosting of visitors;

~ liaising with other departments within Champalimaud Research and abroad.

Habilitações: Licenciatura/Mestrado/PhD

Experiência:  PhD in a scientific field, ideally related to neuroscience, but bachelor’s or master’s degree in a natural science may also be considered according to previous experience on a management role in a scientific environment.
