The workplan involves the growth and preparation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis clinical isolated to be used to infect human and mouse immune cells. The cellular response to infection will be followed in terms of cytokine production, bacterial control and alteration of basic processes. The work also involves the mouse model of infection.
